Equipment

  • Small Saucepan
  • Glass Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Hand Mixer

Materials

  • 4 Tbs Shea Butter
  • 2 Tbs Beeswax Pellets
  • 1 Tbs Jojoba oil
  • 1/2 tsp Tea tree oil
  • 10 drops Essential oils

Instructions

  • In a small bowl combine the beeswax pellets and shea butter. I use the double boiler method with a small saucepan and melt these down until they are a liquid.
  • Once everything is completely melted, remove from the heat.
  • Next, add the jojoba oil and vitamin E oil and mix until combined.
  • Once cooled a little bit, add the essential oils and stir.
  • Let cool until it is set up. You can put it in the refrigerator to speed up this process. It took about 30 min in the fridge for mine to set up.
  • Once your balm has set and is hardened take out of the refrigerator and whip it up with your hand mixer. This will keep it from getting too hard in your container and make it creamy texture to go on your beard easily.
  • Place your new homemade beard balm in a small container or jar and store at room temperature for up to 12 months.
