These Easy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls (3 ingredients) are a perfect on the go snack or quick healthy breakfast and are made with just a few healthy ingredients.
What are Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls?
Peanut butter Oatmeal balls also known as Oatmeal energy bites, are just raw oatmeal, peanut butter and honey mixed up and formed in a ball for the perfect delicious and healthy snack to pop in your mouth anytime of the day.
You can eat them as a pre or post workout snack or use them to tie you over until your next meal.
I don’t know about your kids, but my kids ask for snacks about every three and a half minutes. Its tempting to grab those “kid snacks” all day long, filling up their snack cups with goldfish and teddy grahams, but lets be honest, there is no nutrition in most of those things and they are full of added sugar.
I try to find things that will not only fill their little tummy’s, but that feels like a treat to them as well. This recipe is a win! Want to make it a treat? Add chocolate. Want to slip them some extra fiber or protein? Add chia seeds or nuts. They are completely customizable!
As for me, one of my weaknesses has always been cookie dough (my guilty pleasure). Usually, if i make cookie dough its not to actually bake cookies lol. These Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls give me a cookie dough vibe, without all the extra sugar. Perfect for a little sweet craving but not throwing my whole diet out the window.
What do I need to make these Easy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls?
Oatmeal – Quick oats or Old fashioned oats both work just have a little bit different textures.
Peanut Butter- I used creamy peanut butter, but you can use crunchy peanut butter instead for a different texture.
Honey- If you don’t like honey you can use maple syrup instead.
Can I add to or substitute some ingredients?
This recipe is just a base, so you can eat as is, or you can add whatever you would like for a variety of flavors.
If you want them to be more of a sweet treat you can add chocolate or something sweet. If your looking for something hearty and filling you can add some nuts or seeds.

Form mixture into balls with your hands, or you can use a small cookie scoop to form them. (1-2 Tbs size, depending on the size you like).
2. Place on a parchment paper- lined plate or straight into and airtight container or freezer-safe bag where you can store them in the refrigerator for about a week.
