If you are struggling in these areas, you are not alone! Here are 27 comforting Bible verses about stress and anxiety that will encourage you!
There are many things that life throws at us that may cause us to worry or stress. Sometimes we may not even know what the cause may be, but thankfully Gods word has many things to say about it.
Why do we get stressed and full of anxiety?
There are many variables and reasons that we experience these things, Hormones (you know, those crazy things lol), Emotions, tiredness, exhaustion, diet, environment, trauma….. that is just to name a few!
Sometimes what is causing the stress in our life is brought on by ourselves. Maybe we are trying to control a situation that we have no control over. Maybe God has us in a period of waiting and we are struggling with the unknown.
Sometimes our stress can be brought on by outside sources and it isn’t our fault at all. What we do do with those feelings is the important thing. Will we choose to bring them before God or will we try to handle them on our own?
If we are honest, as women and/or mommas we have all had times in our lives that we have experienced stress and anxiety, sometimes on a daily basis!
God gives us His word as a tool to use to help combat these times! I would love to share with you some of the Bible verses that can be a help and reminder to help us through these times of stress, anxiety and worry.
God doesn’t want us to live in these feelings, He wants us to trust him with the tough times and the good times alike!
The awesome thing about God is that He understands us and wants us to come to Him with these things. He doesn’t expect us to handle it all on our own.
So next time you are struggling with being stressed out or full of anxiety look at this list of verses and remind yourself of these promises from Gods word!

What does God say to do when we are full of stress and anxiety?

So many times we forget the most important thing we can do is GO TO THE LORD and ask him to help us with the stressful situations, anxious heart, difficult times, grief or overwhelm that we might be facing. Once we have acknowledged Him we can use his word to comfort us.

Psalm 23:1-6
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

How to use Bible verses to comfort me during times of worry and stress:
Using Gods word to comfort ourselves or to help comfort others starts with understanding who God is.
Who is God?
God is the creator of the world. He sent his son to die for our sins so that we all would have the opportunity to accept him as our own personal savior. He took the punishment for us.
But 3 days after he was killed, he rose from the dead and is alive today! He offers the gift of salvation to anyone who believes and asks him to save them!
What to do Next
Once we understand who God is, then we are able to have the faith and assurance that what He said in his word is true. God loves us and wants us to live our life for him.
He is so good that he left us his word, the Bible, to use as a manual for our lives. He left us many promises in his word that we can cling to and live by during hard times and worries of this life.
We have to choose to believe that what he says is true, and when we do that we can have peace of mind knowing that at the end of the day God is in control and he loves us like we love our own children.
